Kinetic Modeling Study of Laminar Burning Velocity of Gasoline–Ethanol–Methanol Blends at Elevated Temperature and Pressure

: Gasoline-ethanol-methanol (GEM) blends have been considered to replace pure gasoline for spark ignition engine fuel. Its physical and chemical properties as well performance emission measurements from real engines reported in the literature, but it lacks fundamental study that can explain unique results of GEM compared gasoline. This aims compare laminar burning velocity at different mixtures, equivalence ratios, temperatures, pressures A flame propagation model reaction mechanisms literature were employed numerical simulation. In this study, components are simplified using a binary surrogate mixture. The show increase with temperature, ethanol, methanol concentration while decrease pressure increase. Sensitive reactions is also presented through sensitivity analysis.
